On Wednesday 17th June, the charming village of Cabrières-d’Avignon is set to undergo a vibrant transformation. Leading independent estate agency Maison Victoire is opening its doors for its annual summer vernissage, titled “Sounds of the Soul, Stories of India.” Open to all, this immersive evening promises to awaken the senses while supporting a vital cause: essential cancer care in the South of France.
An Artistic Journey: Painting Meets Photography
For its 2026 exhibition, Maison Victoire is bringing together two exceptional female artists whose work has been deeply shaped by the sights, sounds, and spirit of the Indian subcontinent: Anglo-American painter Katherine Virgils and local French photographer Eva Erdmann.

Eva Erdmann
-
Katherine Virgils practices an art of patience and devotion. Fascinated by paleolitic art, yoga, and music, she creates her own unique pigments and layers them using specialized techniques on handmade paper, finally burnishing the surface until the artwork glows with a rich, intense light.
-
Eva Erdmann focuses her lens entirely on the human element. Specializing in street photography and portraits from her extensive travels across India, her striking images capture the unique bonds built with her subjects, instantly immersing the viewer into the beating heart of the culture.
“We are delighted to present our new exhibition for 2026, which aligns with the true international nature of Maison Victoire,” says Victoria Templeman, Founder and CEO of Maison Victoire. “The cultural celebrations we have made our own unite people not just to appreciate the art and culture of our region, but to find community within this shared appreciation.”
Art with a Heart : Cycling for a Cause
True to its values, Maison Victoire places giving back at the center of its cultural events. This year, the agency is partnering with Ventoux Contre Cancer, a local association dedicated to fundraising for vital cancer research and patient care in the region. To support their incredible work, 10% of all artwork sales during the exhibition will be donated directly to the charity.
Taking her commitment one step further—and inspired by personal battles fought by close friends—Victoria Templeman has decided to take on the ultimate local challenge: cycling to the summit of the legendary Mont Ventoux on 5th September. The twist? She had never ridden a road bike before! The evening of 17th June will also serve as an opportunity for guests to sponsor her team as they prepare to tackle the “Giant of Provence.”
